The U.S. Political Environment is Bullish Bitcoin, regardless of who wins in November

Donald Trump, a convert, announced plans to make the United States the $B capital of the planet.

  • Donald J. Trump has stated his intent to create a “Strategic Bitcoin Reserve”, which has bipartisan support from the Senate — Read.

  • Kamala Harris has indicated her administration would be friendly to $B (although her campaign has not given any clear indication regarding other crypto alternatives).

  • Gary Gensler appears to be on the hot seat with both candidates.

  • Senate Majority Chuck Schumer and 21 other Democrats joined Republicans to overturn key anti-Bitcoin legislation (SAB 121), showing the growing bipartisan support it has now earned in the United States.

  • BNY Mellon was granted an exemption from SAB 121, the controversial accounting requirement put forth by the SEC that requires public companies to report custodied crypto on their balance sheet - a practice that deviates from the normal accounting treatment of keeping custodied assets off-balance sheet.

  • Crypto4Harris event featured Mark Cuban, Senator Kristen Gillibrand, Schumer also made comments.

Bitcoin is bipartisan. Bitcoin is supported.
