Major Jason P. Lowery Speaks about “hashpower”
In response to a LinkedIn post of mine, Major Jason P. Lowery, the famous author of SoftWar which was pulled from publication by the United States Military, had this to say about Hashpower:
In my opinion, it won’t be long before the majority of the public shifts their perspective from “mining” to “hashpower.” The change will make it easier to understand its value. The clarity will increase once we observe non-finance-related applications of reusable proof-of-work tokens gaining traction. I mentioned to Dennis [Porter of the Satoshi Action Fund] that I think SoftWar is approximately five years ahead of its time. Meaning by 2028 I’m confident that the cybersecurity significance of hashing will become evident to at least our computer science professionals. At the moment, most don’t seem to be able to grasp why Proof of Stake isn’t viable.
